Valencia, December 29, 2023 – Three hospitals of the health group Ribera, the Torrejón University Hospital (Madrid) and the Ribera Povisa (Vigo) and Ribera Juan Cardona (Ferrol) hospitals appear this year in the ranking of the 100 best public hospitals, in the first case, and private hospitals in the case of the centers Galicians, which annually prepares the Health Reputation Monitor (MRS), after carrying out more than 8.000 surveys with doctors, nursing staff, patient associations, public health administration staff and journalists from the health sector.
Additionally, in the classification of doctors with the best reputation by specialty is Dr. Julia Camps, Corporate Head of the Breast Area de Ribera, and Javier Cortés, and oncology coordinator, in ninth and sixth place respectively in Radiodiagnosis and Medical Oncology. Dr. Cortés is also one of the 10 most valued doctors in Spain, in a ranking that includes professionals from different specialties.
The health center that the Ribera group has in Vigo, Ribera Povisa, rises ten positions compared to last year and is placed in 35th place in the study that analyzes all private hospitals in Spain, while Riverside Juan Cardona, its hospital in Ferrol, appears for the first time in this study and is directly ranked 57th in this same ranking. For his part, the Torrejón University Hospital, belonging to the public network of the Community of Madrid and managed by the Ribera group, is in 89th place in the ranking of public hospitals in Spain with the best reputation based on their services. The center climbs three positions compared to last year's results and remains among the 100 best-rated public hospitals.
The MRS is a single independent study that analyzes the reputation of the entire Spanish Health Service. It classifies the hospitals and clinical services with the best reputation in Spain based on 8.260 surveys carried out among the main actors in the health sector, together with the analysis of more than 3.250 specific objective indicators of 34 clinical services. Likewise, the methodology and results have undergone an independent review by KPMG, according to the ISAE 3000 standard.
