    Ribera and the IBCC seal a strategic alliance to lead research and comprehensive care for breast cancer

    • The health group signs an agreement with the International Breast Cancer Center so that its patients can access clinical trials, innovative drugs and national and international translational research projects led by Dr. Cortés

    Valencia, 16 of September 2021 – The Ribera health group and the International Breast Cancer Center (IBCC) in Barcelona have signed an agreement to incorporate the experience and knowledge of the team of oncologists and researchers led by Dr. Javier Cortés to the Ribera Breast Area, which Directed by Dr. Julia Camps. Thanks to this strategic alliance, patients with breast cancer at the Ribera hospitals will be evaluated by the tumor committee by the IBCC professionals, who have already joined the multidisciplinary team of the Breast Area, and will have access to the trials clinics, innovative drugs and translational research projects, national and international, led by Dr. Cortes.

    The IBCC is the first hyper-specialized center in Spain for the treatment of breast cancer, promoted by Dr. Javier Cortés and his team, conceived from a global, humanistic and scientific approach, to which more than 20 years of experience in research are added. and the treatment of breast cancer.

    The Breast Area of ​​the Ribera group is already a benchmark in technology, Radiology, Pathology and Oncoplastic Surgery and brings together fifty professionals from different specialties, with more than 20 years of experience in breast pathology. Their work is based on the knowledge shared through the breast committees of the different hospitals (transversal), providing patients with personalized care and the best specialists to jointly assess each case. Working in a network from the different hospitals of the Ribera group, it provides its patients with innovative technology, such as its contrast-enhanced 3D mammographs, pioneering techniques such as rapid breast biopsy and genetic signature in the initial biopsy, as well as precision surgical approaches, support emotional and nipple tattoo, among others.
