The mayor of Villanueva de la Serena has reiterated the importance of public-private collaboration and has highlighted Ribera's commitment to Hospital Ribera Santa Justa and the commitment with the municipality and with the 40 families that live from the work in this center. "Villlanueva de la Serena feels grateful for the effort and involvement of this company", she pointed out, while asking the President of the Board for his involvement with the project, "because it represents guarantees for the health and well-being of all the citizens of the region.
For his part, the executive director of Centene Corporation for Europe, Alberto de Rosa, celebrated the official inauguration of the remodeling of Ribera Santa Justa and the possibility of "making it available to all citizens, public and private institutions, because It is our obligation and also our wish”. “Our commitment is to provide effective, joint responses hand in hand with the institutions, because it is what the citizens expect of us. They do not expect labels, they expect to agree, add technology, human resources and that we work for their well-being and together make this pandemic something of the past.
With an investment of around 150.000 euros, Santa Justa Bank has integrated sustainable and modern materials in the first phase of remodeling the historic building that houses the hospital, respecting the great heritage value of the complex for Villanueva de la Serena and its surroundings. In this way, the Ribera group recovers for this health center the main entrance on San Francisco street and sets up a Reception area in this area, with universal accessibility criteria, in order to facilitate and guarantee health care for the whole of the extreme population.
This intervention has made it possible to create a larger patio in this access, without architectural barriers to the health center, and which also has efficient lighting and new urban furniture, benches and flowerpots, to facilitate the entrance to the hospital and contribute to the urban regeneration of the municipality. .
Since the Ribera healthcare group assumed the management of Ribera Santa Justa, has recovered more than 20 medical specialties for the population, as well as the 24-hour emergency service. In addition, it makes it easier for the general population, institutions and companies in the area to carry out all the test modalities to detect COVID-19: rapid and conventional serological tests, antigen tests and PCR.
Only in the first six months of management of Ribera Santa Justa by the Ribera group have major adaptation works been carried out inside the health center and its landscaped interior patio, which include the reform of its three operating rooms and the resuscitation, reinforcing lighting, changing operating tables and installing state-of-the-art monitors, changing the complex's air conditioning, as well as renewing a large part of the equipment and instruments in the Physiotherapy and rehabilitation room , as well as hospitalization rooms.
This hospital receives private patients and patients from insurance companies. In addition, the center has been prepared to collaborate with the Extremadura Health Service (SES) and help it reduce waiting lists in any of the 20 specialties that are treated in Ribera Santa Justa.
