    Ribera renews and expands the collaboration with Lanzadera to incubate more startups that help transform Health

    • The health group will have its own space in the Marina de Empresas accelerator to promote co-creation and create synergies with entrepreneurs in the health field and other sectors, helping to improve tools and processes
    • This agreement, which is renewed for two years, will allow Ribera to incorporate young talent from EDEM, the Marina de Empresas university school

    The health group Ribera has renewed for two years and extended the agreements included in the collaboration agreement with the Corporate program of Shuttle, the accelerator and incubator of Marina de Empresas, with the aim of continuing to work together in the detection and promotion of startups that help transform Health with their innovative projects. The CEO of the Ribera group, Elisa Tarazona, and the CEO of Lanzadera, Javier Jiménez, have been responsible for signing the renewal of this agreement.

    During the first twelve months of collaboration, Ribera and Lanzadera have selected five startups in the healthcare field in two editions. The first two, serenmind y HumanItCare, are already in the implementation phase of their projects in the different hospitals of the group, after the success of the pilots. And the three startups selected last September, tucuvi, Legitimate health y freedom and flow, are developing the proofs of concept in collaboration with the health professionals of the group. For example, him Torrejón University Hospital It has already begun to apply artificial intelligence with voice technology from Tucuvi's virtual caregiver for Covid and COPD patients. In addition, in the coming days, Ribera will announce the new startups selected for the third edition.

    “We have been working with Lanzadera for a year, within its Corporate program, and the balance for Ribera is so good that we have decided to renew it, with even more ambitious challenges if possible. In addition, we thus reinforce our commitment to open innovation and support for entrepreneurs who create value in the healthcare field", stated the CEO of Ribera, Elisa Tarazona, who also highlighted the international projection of this agreement "because our intention is to transfer the projects that we develop jointly with these startups to our activity in Europe, not only in Spain”.  

    Among the challenges faced in this second agreement, the creation of a space of its own for Ribera in Lanzadera stands out, with the aim of promoting co-creation and creating synergies with entrepreneurs in the health field, but also in other sectors that can help improve tools, Group operations and processes. Today the CEO of Ribera, Elisa Tarazona, and the executive director of Centene Corporation for Europe, Alberto De Rosa, accompanied by the financial director of Centene for Europe, Pablo Gallart, the director of Innovation and Technological Development of Ribera, visited this space, Manu Bosch and the Group's Assistance Director, Carlos Catalán. Subsequently, the managers of Centene and Ribera held a working meeting on the projects that the stratups are developing in the group's hospitals.

    Along these lines, the new agreement makes the "Radar Lanzadera" available to the healthcare group, facilitating the connection with entrepreneurs and technology companies that are already in their incubation programs but in other Corporates and that may be of interest to Ribera in areas such as logistics. , finance, law, stock management or human resources, among others.

    In addition, this agreement will allow young talent from the EDEM University School to incorporate Ribera, thus consolidating the commitment of the health group to strengthen university-company collaboration and promote the labor insertion of young people.
