Artistic creations of breast cancer professionals

In Spain, each year more than 34.000 women are diagnosed with breast cancer, although as the coordinators of the Breast Area of the Ribera health group say, "no two diseases are the same, because no two women are the same". For this reason, they add, precision medicine is so important, that is, the personalization of treatments and the assessment of each case as unique. In the Breast Area of the Ribera group, the tumor committee assesses and analyzes the case of each patient. In this way, some of the best specialists in Spain are responsible for analyzing the cases of these patients, regardless of their referral hospital. Currently, there are five Ribera hospitals integrated into the Breast Area: the Vinalopó university hospitals (Elche) and Torrejon, the Denia hospital and the Ribera Povisa (Vigo) and Ribera Polusa (Lugo). The latter recently launched the Breast Unit and has a new digital mammograph with tomosynthesis, unique in the province of Lugo.
