The Vinalopó University Hospital (Elche) offers a total of 25 places, distributed in 20 MIR places and 5 EIR places, in specialties such as Family and Community Medicine, Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Internal Medicine, Anesthesiology, Cardiology or Radiology, among other specialties, which you can consult here.
The main new development for Vinalopó Hospital this year is the accreditation of its Nuclear Medicine Service as a new Teaching Unit, which will allow this specialty to be included in the 2026/2027 call for applications. With this, the hospital reaches 15 accredited teaching units, three of them multi-professional, consolidating its position as one of the leading centers for healthcare training in the province of Alicante.
For its part, the University Hospital of Torrejón offers 28 places in 13 medical specialties and 3 nursing specialties, including Family and Community Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Dermatology, Neurology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, as well as the EIR specialties of Family and Community Nursing, Obstetric-Gynecological and Pediatric Nursing.
The Ribera Povisa Hospital (Vigo) completes the offer with places in specialties such as Family and Community Medicine (12), Internal Medicine, Radiodiagnosis, General Surgery, Traumatology and Anesthesiology, reinforcing its role as a teaching center in Galicia.
Open days and innovative teaching model
With the aim of familiarizing prospective residents with their training model, the hospitals have organized open house events.
