The health group Ribera Ribera has appointed Dr. Víctor Sanz as its new president as part of its ongoing process to strengthen its corporate governance. This appointment, approved by Ribera's Board of Directors, reflects the group's evolution and growth in recent years, both in Spain and internationally, as well as its intention to bolster its governance structure in this new phase, with a focus on quality care, patients, and professionals.
Sanz has over 30 years of experience and combines a strong understanding of both the healthcare and business sectors. A physician and graduate in Business Administration, he furthered his education with an MBA from ESADE Business School and the Board Member Program of the Institute of Directors and Administrators (ICA). From the outset of his career, he has been involved in the healthcare sector, managing and leading health organizations. He participated in the Abril Commission Report, formally the Commission for the Analysis and Evaluation of the National Health System. Furthermore, part of his career has also been in areas related to corporate governance, providing him with a broad perspective on the long-term development of complex organizations.
This appointment is part of the internal reorganization announced by the company on February 2nd, with the addition of Dr. Gonzalo Bartolomé as the new medical director and the creation of three territorial general directorates for Spain with Sonia Hernández, Portugal with José Bento and Central Europe with Andrej Hos, aimed at boosting the group's growth strategy.

In this new organizational structure, the chairman and CEO will work in close coordination. Víctor Sanz will primarily focus on strategy, corporate governance, innovation, and institutional support in his capacity as Chairman of the Board, while the Executive Committee will continue to be led by Pablo Gallart, the current CEO, who will retain full responsibility for the group's management and operations.
