Molina de Segura, April 6, 2022 - Ribera Lab, the laboratory division of the Ribera healthcare group, is integrated into Ribera Hospital of Molina and it will make it possible to offer its patients the latest advances in constitutional, prenatal and onco-haematological cytogenetics, as well as molecular biopathology of hereditary, infectious and onco-haematological diseases. In addition, it reinforces the activity of this center and brings the citizens of Molina closer to all the areas and specialties of its central and reference clinical laboratory for any Covid test and type of analysis: Allergology, Cardiology, Digestive, Endocrinology, Gynecology, Hematology, Nephrology, Neurology, Pediatrics, Ophthalmology, Oncology and Toxicology.
Ribera Lab thus advances in its expansion and consolidation plan in all regions where the healthcare group has healthcare centers. Since its inception, hospital laboratories have been integrated into the division Ribera Polusa (Lugo), Riverside Juan Cardona (Ferrol) and Santa Justa Bank (Estremadura). In the coming months, Ribera Lab will expand its coverage to other hospitals in the group, as well as to external clinics looking for a reference center, with the experience, technology and volume of activity of Ribera Lab's central clinical laboratory, located in Torrellano ( Elche).
The laboratory division of the Ribera group has around 60 professionals in its different centers. In 2021, it has carried out almost half a million determinations (diagnostic tests) of microbiology, cytogenetics, molecular biology and biochemistry and around 130.000 PCRs.
Ribera Hospital de Molina is a benchmark for private healthcare in the Murcia region. Inaugurated in the year 2000, it has nearly 200 professionals, 100 beds, 23 external consultations, six operating rooms and three emergency rooms.
