Ribera Lab, the laboratory division of the Ribera healthcare group, is completing the installation of new technology for comprehensive biological diagnosis, which will allow it to increase the number of daily analyzes to between 600-800 starting in January. This equipment, located in its Torrellano (Elche) laboratory, almost doubles the current capacity of the center.
Among the technology that has been acquired by the laboratory division of the Ribera health group, the one that will process a large part of the samples that the Torrellano center will receive, which consists of a new automation system known as ATELICA, with the capacity to analyze 800 tubes per hour
Ribera Lab will assume direct management of the Vinalopó Hospital laboratory and its entire Health Department in January, which will mean practically doubling the number of determinations that will be carried out daily in this center: blood, urine and biological fluid tests, among others, both for Primary and Specialized Care centers. Until now, the management was in the hands of another laboratory.
With this equipment, which is being placed on the ground floor of the Torrellano laboratory, the objective is "to respond in a timely manner, in an efficient and agile manner, to the needs of patients in the entire health area," says the director from Ribera Lab, Mayte Alarcón. To this end, in addition, so far this year the staff of Ribera Lab technicians and physicians has been expanded by 25%, just in its central laboratory, where more than 50 professionals already work.
