Ribera will incorporate two hospitals, a healthcare group and six polyclinics in 2025

    • The group's new healthcare centers are located in Spain and Central Europe, and to these must be added the expansion and construction of operating rooms at the Assistens Medical Center (A Coruña), the expansion of the Colón de Ribera Povisa clinic (Vigo), and the integration of the laboratory and radiology department of the Beata hospital (Madrid) into Ribera Lab, as well as the acquisition of a new Pathology Laboratory in Madrid.
    • The group has renewed the healthcare concession for the Vinalopó University Hospital for another 5 years and has signed a new agreement for the Ribera Povisa Hospital in Vigo
    • Ribera changes its management team and board of directors, renews the Joint Commission International (JCI) at Ribera Povisa and Vinalopó, maintains its MIR and EIR residency programs, and participates in European research projects
    • It has once again positioned itself as one of the 100 best companies to work for, renewed and improved its equality plans in Vinalopó and Molina, approved the professional career path at Ribera Povisa, and consolidated its health and sports brand territory with its "Feel the Shirt" campaign and some thirty sports sponsorships.

The Ribera healthcare group is closing 2025 with two new hospitals, a Polish healthcare group (its first investment in Poland), and six outpatient clinics integrated into its extensive network, which already includes 16 hospitals, more than 60 medical centers, and 14 primary care centers. All the new additions are located in Spain and Central Europe: the Perpetuo Socorro Hospital (Cartagena), the Medicentrum Hospital (Prague, Czech Republic), the Multimed group (Poland), the PAC Clinic and the Medican Clinic (Bratislava and Trnava, Slovakia), and the Ribera Mestalla Clinic (Valencia), Ribera Lorca and Ribera San Javier Clinics (Murcia), and the Gaia Clinic (Lugo). These new healthcare resources are complemented by the renovation and expansion of the Assistens Medical Center, which now has two operating rooms, and the expansion of the Colón Clinic at Ribera Povisa (Vigo). In addition, the group has renewed its management concession for the Vinalopó University Hospital (Elche) for another five years and has signed a new agreement to provide care for patients of the Galician Health Service at the Ribera Povisa Hospital in Vigo. It has also integrated, for the first time, the laboratory and radiology services of an external healthcare center, the Fundación Hospitalarias Hospital in Madrid, and has acquired a new pathology laboratory, also in Madrid.

2025 has been a year of changes in the group's management and board of directors, with new challenges and the consolidation of the Ribera group's responsible health model, endorsed by more than 20 national and international awards and recognitions, such as the four TOP20 awards achieved, the Private Hospital Awards or the Forbes award for innovation, among others, and certifications and quality seals, such as the Joint Commission International, revalidated at the Vinalopó University Hospital and the Ribera Povisa hospital.

Healthcare and research milestones and strategic collaborations

In 2025, the Ribera Group achieved numerous healthcare milestones, including the accreditation of its Coloproctology Unit, epicardial ablations, and the implantation of the first MICRA2 pacemaker at the Vinalopó University Hospital; the new Sports Medicine Unit and the strengthening of the Addictive Behaviors Unit at Ribera Covadonga; the expansion of the Brain Injury Unit at Ribera Virgen de la Caridad; the new technique for treating varicose veins and the new Breast Unit at Ribera Juan Cardona; and the robotic knee surgery and innovative hypertension treatment implemented at the Torrejón University Hospital, among others. The healthcare group also renewed its fleet of ambulances to serve its patients in the Cartagena area.

Research and teaching are two very important pillars of the healthcare group. Ribera maintains its extensive MIR (Medical Residency) and EIR (Nursing Residency) programs, with a total of 61 and 10 places respectively, for the specialized training of healthcare professionals. At the same time, it regularly organizes courses, conferences, and workshops for or led by its professionals through its Ribera Learning platform. Special mention in this 2025 review goes to the Ribera IMSKE hospital, which has been accredited for training in arthroscopic procedures, confirming its leadership in this area. Also noteworthy are studies such as the one involving the Torrejón Hospital on the cardiovascular health of pregnant women, a pioneering project worldwide, as well as the Care Workshop organized by the Ribera Povisa hospital.

Furthermore, Ribera has participated in several projects funded by the European Commission in 2025, such as Teadal, Odelia and Nemecys, and signed an agreement with Pratia to promote clinical trials.

Ribera continues its strategic collaboration with Juan Roig's startup accelerator, Lanzadera, with Microsoft and with universities such as CEU, the University of Valencia, UCAM or the Polytechnic University of Valencia, among others.

Sport, health and Ribera's CSR policy

In 2025, the Ribera Group reinforced its social commitment by developing a coherent strategy focused on health, people, and positive community impact. Throughout this period, sport and its importance to overall health have been central to the group's activities. Under the umbrella of the "Feel the Jersey" brand campaign, the group has promoted various initiatives connecting sport and mental health. These initiatives included workshops and a traveling exhibition that toured six cities in collaboration with 13 elite athletes from 11 clubs, including football, basketball, tennis, and rugby. The campaign received awards for its creativity and purpose from the Asturias Marketing Club and Medical Economics, and was a finalist for the Mediterranean Marketing Club's MIA Awards. Furthermore, within the sport and health brand territory, the group has promoted other initiatives such as the audiovisual series "Stories That Unite Us," featuring athletes who have overcome injuries at its healthcare centers.

Several hospitals in the group carry out medical examinations for elite sports clubs, such as Levante UD, Elche, CD Lugo, Balonmano Cangas, Jimbee Cartagena and Club Deportivo Minera, as well as several rugby clubs and federations such as the Valencian pilota and tennis federations.

Humanization initiatives have also been carried out that promote sport among our patients, such as the Cervantes Trail and its Sunday routes through the Henares Corridor, which in 2025 brought together thousands of people, the third edition of Muévete Vinalopó, a gymkhana in this same hospital, healthy walks, oncology yoga or therapeutic exercise, consolidating physical exercise as a tool for physical and emotional well-being.

The humanization of healthcare has been, as evidenced, another of the year's priorities, with innovative and accessible projects that aim to improve the daily lives of our patients. Highlights include the renovation of the Oncology Department at the University Hospital of Torrejón, with new environments and therapeutic cushions; the launch of the "Mothers in Action" program in Torrejón; the humanization concerts at the group's hospitals in collaboration with the NGO Musicians for Health; the sending of encouraging postcards and birthday greetings to patients at Povisa; the Dance Therapy program in Torrejón; and patient education programs at various healthcare centers. Initiatives such as Operation School in Covadonga and Caravaca, and the workshops on healthy habits and inclusive health reflect a holistic vision that understands health as extending beyond the clinical setting.

In parallel, Ribera has developed initiatives focused on inclusion, training, and social commitment, prioritizing accessibility and collaboration with patient associations and local organizations. The ColorADD Project for people with color blindness is one example, already implemented in several of its hospitals. Other examples include the new restroom for ostomy patients at Ribera Covadonga, the menopause workshop at Ribera Polusa, and the speech therapy training for teachers at Ribera Covadonga. These are all examples of social innovation applied to healthcare. Also noteworthy are the chronic pain program and the maternity course organized in Vinalopó, the scientific conference at Ribera Hospital de Molina on surgical infections, student visits and training initiatives to attract young people to healthcare professions, as well as support for social and cultural organizations through donations to NGOs and entities collaborating on solidarity projects such as accompanying students from the CEU school, the charity fashion show organized by the Coso Foundation, collaboration with Discamino, which accompanies people with disabilities on the Camino de Santiago, and with Casa Caridad in Valencia, among others. In 2025, Ribera collaborated with the College of Physiotherapists of the Valencian Community for the reconstruction of clinics affected by the DANA storm, and Ribera Covadonga's sponsorship of the Gijón Philharmonic Society was launched. In addition, improvements have been made to sustainable infrastructure, such as the installation of a generator and electric vehicle charging stations at Ribera Covadonga, among others. All of this reinforces a CSR model aligned with health, sustainability and commitment to society on the part of the Ribera group.

People Management and Quality: Professionals and Patients, Our Priority

The professionals at the Ribera healthcare group are its greatest asset. And 2025 has been a very important year for the Human Resources department. Ribera has reaffirmed its position in the ranking of the 100 best companies to work for in Spain, the Ribera Povisa hospital has passed the career and professional development program, Ribera Polusa has signed the first LGBTQ+ protocol, and the Vinalopó and Molina hospitals have renewed their equality plans.

For its part, the program Ribera Life The focus on employee well-being has been strengthened with new initiatives to create a work environment where professionals feel happy, supported, and motivated, centered around six key areas: professional health, physical and emotional health, team health, financial health, and social health. Thus, in 2025, the third “Ribera Padel Tour” championship was held, work was done on a new internal network to improve communication, and corporate volunteering was promoted.
