    Ribera IMSKE becomes the official medical service of the rugby clubs Les Abelles and CR Valencia

    El Ribera IMSKE hospital has signed a collaboration agreement with the two main Rugby clubs in the Valencian Community, The Abelles y CR ValenciaThrough this agreement, the Ribera IMSKE hospital undertakes to provide a health service, geared towards the specific needs of sports clubs and their players. 

    Ribera IMSKE is a hospital with a pioneering healthcare model in Spain, as it is highly specialised in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal pathologies, with internationally renowned professionals in areas such as Traumatology, Rehabilitation, Rheumatology and Physiotherapy. On many occasions, professional players of any sporting activity, including rugby, require personalised care and with specific care and recovery times. This is the case, for example, of a player who is injured the day before a match, and cannot wait to be diagnosed or even treated clinically. 

    In this regard, the Ribera IMSKE hospital is committed to providing emergency care to these professionals. And as experts in sports medicine, the players' medical examinations will be fully covered, and will involve cardiologists, traumatologists and physiotherapists, among others.

    This health centre, specialised in musculoskeletal pathologies and belonging to the Ribera health group, has an emergency trauma service on weekends, so it can cover any case that arises before, during and after most of the sporting matches, which are played on Saturdays and Sundays. It also has a robotic X-ray room, a high-definition ultrasound, a multi-slice CT scan, dual-energy densitometry (DEXA) and two 1,5 and 3 Tesla magnetic resonances, as well as five operating theatres, 20 consultation rooms, 1.350 square metres exclusively for the rehabilitation of injuries, and an indoor pool for hydrotherapy.

    With the agreement signed between Ribera IMSKE and the rugby clubs of Les Abelles and CR Valencia, they hope to obtain a medical service that adapts to the specific needs of their sporting discipline, thus helping to improve the quality and speed of care for all their players, in all categories.
