El Ribera healthcare group, which has two hospitals in Extremadura, and the Youth and Sport Foundation, dependent on the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Sports of the Extremadura joint, have signed a collaboration agreement through which athletes from Extremadura will be able to benefit from bonuses when accessing the services that Ribera offers in its health centers in Villanueva de la Serena (Hospital Ribera Santa Justa) and Almendralejo (Hospital Ribera Almendralejo), thus confirming their commitment and involvement with the sports fabric of the Region.
Likewise, this group that provides public and private health services, which has more than seven thousand professionals, becomes part of the Youth and Sports Foundation as a sponsor, thanks to this agreement signed by both parties.
The Ribera group confirms, once again, with this agreement its social commitment to the citizens of Extremadura, in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals and the 2030 Agenda, with the aim of adding value to current and future society and contributing to the sustainability of health systems.
In this sense, connecting with the foundational purposes and strategic lines of the FJyD, both parties have agreed that the people and entities interested in these bonuses, access them through the Extremadura Athlete Care Office (OADEXT) and its counterpart for Sports Entities (OAEDEXT), of which the Ribera health group becomes a sponsor, being programs that are articulated both as tools of the Foundation, to offer comprehensive advice and service to agents in the sports sector.
The bonuses will consist of a 10% discount for athletes who are beneficiaries of OADEXT or who are part of sports entities that use OAEDEXT, in those treatments channeled through the psychological care platform "Minds" and in the service packs offered within the framework of the 'Comprehensive Care Unit for Athletes' de Ribera, these being the 'Amateur Pack', consisting of a complete cardio-sports examination, and the 'Advance Pack', with a complete cardio-sports examination and effort test (this is only offered at the Hospital Santa Justa de Villanueva de la serene).
In the same way, the agreement includes the creation of an 'Economic Bag' of a maximum of 3.000,00 euros per year for services offered in the Ribera de Extremadura Hospitals, in favor of athletes who use OADEXT and/or to provide out-of-hospital care. of medical, Nursing or Physiotherapy services in those activities organized by the FJyD.
The Youth and Sports Foundation will be in charge of establishing and publishing on its website,www.fundacionjd.com , the access protocol to these services and discounts, giving priority, in this order, to High-Level athletes, athletes from the National Center for Sports Technification and users of the stable residence of athletes Ciudad Deportiva de Cáceres, High Performance Athletes and other OADEXT users, always attending first to the prior assessment of the applications received, under the criteria of urgency, necessity and order of entry of the same.
Regarding the specific services that the Ribera group has in Extremadura, the Ribera Santa Justa Hospital, in Villanueva de la Serena, offers analytical tests (Clinical analysis, PCRCOVID-19, Antigen Test and Immunity Test), Physiotherapy, Ophthalmology, X-rays , CT, Mammography, Orthopantography, Podiatry, General Medicine Emergencies, Traumatology, Pulmonology, General Surgery and Gynecology, while the Ribera Almendralejo Hospital, for its part, provides Analytical, Physiotherapy and Ophthalmology care.
