    Ribera, finalist in the Salud Digital awards with his shoulder telerehabilitation project and his health blog

    El Ribera healthcare group has been a finalist in the two candidacies to which it has presented projects this year in the digital health awards. The VI edition of these prestigious national awards have recognized the telerehabilitation project for shoulder pathologies, developed in three group hospitals, and the Ribera health blog, as finalists in the categories of Best Telemedicine Project and Best Health blog. 

    The purpose of the Digital Health Awards is to recognize the initiatives developed in the area of ​​health, both in the public and private sectors, that contribute to improving the health, well-being and quality of life of people through new information technologies. information and communications, also known as eHealth, as stated in its bases. From the Ribera sanitary group, both mentions stand out since "they are very competitive awards and there are many high-quality projects that are presented each year, so being one of the two finalists in the two categories is a great success ”.

    In April 2021, the Ribera health group launched a telerehabilitation program for patients with shoulder pathologies in the university hospitals of the Vinalopo y Torrejon and in the Ribera Povisa Hospital. This pilot project, developed in co-creation with the startup Trak, selected in the Corporate program of Shuttle, consists of a remote rehabilitation and patient monitoring platform, which facilitates their recovery with exhaustive monitoring by health professionals, since they can not only guide the exercises but also guarantee that they are being carried out correctly. The technology used is based on artificial intelligence and computer vision. The objective of this project is to evaluate the improvement in adherence to treatment of patients with this specific pathology and the progress in their recovery. In total, 60 patients have participated in the pilot.

    With regard to the group's health blog, and although the first publication dates back a little over ten years, its web positioning has improved remarkably in recent years, thanks to the contribution of quality content made by professionals. of the nine hospitals, 60 Primary Care centers and seven Ribera clinics, and the teamwork of the Department of Communication. This combination of factors has made it possible to carry out specialized publications that are highly accessible to the general public, with a constant periodicity, as well as to complement these written contents with other audiovisuals, of great interest to patients, and to improve their dissemination on social networks, including graphics, animations and reels. In 2021, the Ribera group's health blog obtained 466.252 page views, 235.303 users and 269.855 sessions, and the five most visited entries were: Take gastric protector regularly; topical medications, do you use them correctly?; the new strains of Covid, symptoms, severity and resistance; and practice sports with the ruler.
