Ribera enters Poland with Multi Med, a Polish healthcare group, and consolidates its presence in Central Europe.

    • It is a medical company dedicated to diagnostic imaging and outpatient clinical care specializing in rehabilitation, which operates a total of ten magnetic resonance imaging centers, six of which are less than five years old.
    • The Vivalto group, to which Ribera belongs, is already present in seven European countries.

The health group Ribera has signed the incorporation of 100% of Multi Med, a Polish healthcare group, which thus becomes its first asset in Poland. This acquisition represents a significant strategic move for Ribera, through its Slovak subsidiary. Pro Diagnostic Group (PDG), which allows it to consolidate its operations and continue growing in Central Europe, entering the largest country in the region, which has nearly 40 million inhabitants.

Multi Med is a Polish medical company primarily dedicated to diagnostic imaging and outpatient clinical care. The company was founded in 1992. It is a well-established company with more than 350 highly regarded and experienced professionals, enjoying significant recognition and loyal patients in the Warsaw area. Among other things, it has five MRIs (spread across two centers), making it the second-largest MRI operator in the Polish capital. In total, Multi Med operates ten MRI machines, six of which were commissioned between 2020 and 2022.

This Polish company, which now joins Ribera, is dedicated to what has been the core business Ribera in the region, diagnostic imaging, but also contributes to its diversification strategy, since it has a medical care area dedicated to rehabilitation.

As Pablo Gallart, CEO of the Ribera Group, explains, "This transaction is fully aligned with the objective of the majority shareholder, Vivalto, to consolidate Ribera as a major European healthcare group, and therefore we continue to explore expansion and growth opportunities in different regions."

Last July, Ribera announced its growth and diversification in Central Europe with the acquisition of Medican, a surgical center in Slovakia, specifically in the city of Trnava. In this case, it is a clinic specializing in major outpatient surgery, with two operating rooms, primarily dedicated to Traumatology and General Surgery, although it also provides rehabilitation services. Medican also has a short-stay hospitalization unit with 9 beds, advanced radiology, including MRI, and an outpatient department.

With its entry into Poland, the Vivalto Santé group, to which Ribera belongs, now operates in seven European countries: Slovakia, Spain, France, Poland, Portugal, the Czech Republic, and Switzerland.
