    Valencia, July 9, 2025 – The Ribera healthcare group is strengthening its diversification in Central Europe with the acquisition of Medican, a surgical center in Slovakia, in the city of Trnava. The clinic specializes in major outpatient surgery, with two operating rooms, primarily dedicated to Traumatology and General Surgery. It also provides rehabilitation services. Medican also has a short-stay hospitalization unit with 9 beds, advanced radiology, including MRI, and an outpatient department.

    Trnava is one of Slovakia's largest cities, with over 60.000 inhabitants, located 50 km from the capital, Bratislava. Ribera, through its subsidiary Pro Diagnostic Group (PDG), is already present in the city, offering nuclear medicine services through its Gammalab branch.

    PDG continues to advance its positioning strategy to become a relevant integrated healthcare provider for the Slovak healthcare system, expanding its focus beyond diagnostic imaging. In this regard, the company remains active in its search for new opportunities to strengthen its diversification through specialization and the support of prestigious professionals.

    In fact, with this new acquisition, Ribera strengthens its growth strategy in Central Europe, with a focus on specialized high-resolution clinics, major outpatient surgery, rehabilitation, and advanced testing and treatment.

    PDG, founded in 2011, is the leading company in advanced diagnostic imaging in Slovakia. The holding company stands out for its advanced technology and the high specialization and training of its team. It has more than 350 professionals and is made up of six companies providing radiology and nuclear medicine services, operating through 20 diagnostic, surgical, and rehabilitation centers in Slovakia and the Czech Republic. The company specializes in techniques such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT), ultrasound (USG), and X-ray and positron emission tomography (PET/CT).
