El Ribera healthcare group confirms its commitment to Madrid with the entry, through its technology subsidiary futuRS, in the digital health cluster MAD e-Health, which leads the Town Hall From the capital. In total there are 26 entities that, together with FutuRS, make up this digital ecosystem promoted by Madrid and whose objective is to guarantee synergies and collaboration between institutions and companies in the care of the health and well-being of the population, putting focus on the elderly. The Chief Information Officer (CIO) of FutuRS, Pablo González Moro, and the Digital Transformation Officer of the Ribera healthcare group, Tania Menéndez, attended the presentation ceremony of MAD e-Health, held this week.
Ribera brings to this cluster his experience of more than 20 years in innovation applied to the social and health care of the population he cares for in his nine hospitals and almost a hundred primary care centers, and also his experience in the field of co-innovation. In just two years, he has worked with almost a dozen startups in the implementation of different pilot projects in their health centers for the telemonitoring of patients with heart failure, Programs of online psychological support or the follow-up of Covid or COPD patients through a virtual assistant, among others. In addition, its technological subsidiary FutuRS is a leader in IT operations and continuity, data analysis and processing, application development and integration, and predictive models, such as the one that advances which Covid patients are going to need admission to the ICU, and strategic technology consulting. This trajectory makes FutuRS and Ribera a strategic ally to advance in the digital transformation sought by the Madrid City Council.
There are so many projects that Ribera's technology subsidiary currently has in its portfolio both in the different regions of Spain and in the United Kingdom, Central Europe and the United States that the office opened in Madrid in the midst of a pandemic already has a hundred professionals. “As a technology company we provide services to the Health sector, both from the hospital setting, as well as in Primary Care, in Spain and outside of Spain. Next year we hope that more than 50% of our activity will be carried out from here for projects in the United States, the United Kingdom and even the Middle East. We also work with insurance companies”, explained Pablo González Moro. "The key is not in the algorithms, but in providing tools that help professionals make decisions in a more informed and precise way," explains the CIO of FutuRS, placing value on the direct connection of technology professionals with the day of the hospitals and health centers of the Ribera group.
Growth and job creation
The pandemic has given a boost to digital transformation projects in general, but especially in the Health sector. Hence, he added, the exponential growth of the technological subsidiary of the Ribera health group, FutuRS, which in just one year has incorporated 87 professionals of 28 nationalities in its offices in Madrid and Elche.
That is why the profiles most in demand by FutuRS, which publishes job vacancies on a regular basis, especially for the development of software and management of daily operations in health centers, are those of system administrator, network engineer, database administrator, as well as programmer of Business Intelligence, .NET or Angular, as explained by those responsible for Ribera's People Department. “We also seek to expand the team with data scientists to continue innovating and transforming the health of citizens, as well as profiles with roles such as Product Owner and Scrum Master, given the Scrum methodology we use (collaborative work)”, they say.
