    Ribera buys Cialab as a reference laboratory for biological and genetic analysis and consolidates its diversification

    • With more than 20 years of experience in hospital management, the healthcare group creates a laboratory division with Ribera LAB and confirms its commitment to growth in the social healthcare sector
    • The purchase of one of the main laboratories in the Valencian Community adds another asset to the group, after the recent acquisition of Hospital Polusa, in Lugo

    El Ribera healthcare group has signed the purchase of the Immunological Center of Alicante, cialab, specialized in biological diagnosis and clinical follow-up through clinical analysis, genetic pathology, microbiology and biopathology, among others. With this acquisition, the group consolidates its diversification policy and confirms its commitment to growth and diversification of services in the healthcare sector. Last November, Ribera bought the Polusa Hospital, in Lugo.

    The group has also created a laboratory division called Ribera LAB, which will coordinate the strategy, infrastructures and personnel specialized in clinical and genetic analysis for the entire company. With more than 20 years of experience in health management, seven hospitals, more than 100 Primary Care centers, a FutuRS technology subsidiary, a purchasing center and the management of the Central Clinical Laboratory of Madrid, Ribera adds its new reference laboratory another important asset with more than 40 workers and a wide portfolio of services to support the group's health centers. 

    Cialab, located in Alicante, has a Genetics laboratory (for constitutional, prenatal and oncohematology cytogenetics), a Molecular Biopathology laboratory (for hereditary, infectious pathology and oncohematology) and a central laboratory (for biochemistry, flow cytometry, immunology, pathology, hematology and microbiology). This laboratory has carried out more than 61.000 diagnostic tests between January and July 2020.
