El Ribera Almendralejo Hospital, managed by the Ribera healthcare group, has organized today controls for responsible health in the context of the XII Health Week and the IX Week of the Elderly, which is celebrated these days in the town of Extremadura. Thanks to this initiative, the residents of Almendralejo have been able to get closer to a "healthy point", located in the Espronceda Park, where professionals from the Ribera Almendralejo hospital have checked their blood pressure and measured their heart rate and blood glucose level.
In addition, in line with the commitment acquired by the Ribera group with the town and the health of its population, the health personnel of Ribera Almendralejo have provided healthy advice to prevent diseases and improve the well-being of citizens and have provided responsible health kits to the neighbors who have visited the stand. The mayor of Almendralejo, José María Ramírez Morán, the Councilor for Social Welfare, Employment and the Elderly, Isabel Ballesteros Guerrero and the managing director of the Extremadura Service for the Promotion of Autonomy (SEPAD) José Vicente Granado participated in the opening ceremony. The care director of Ribera Almendralejo, María Carmen Macías, has explained to the authorities the work carried out in the center.
About the hospital and the Ribera group
Since January 2021, the Ribera group has managed the Almendralejo Hospital, following an agreement withcajalmendralejo, with the aim of converting this center into a first-rate hospital and socio-sanitary complex in Extremadura. The agreement with the Almendralejo Town Hall and the Extremadura Health Service make this hospital an example of public-private collaboration, to which the Ribera group offers its experience and proven excellence, after more than two decades of managing health centers in national and international projects.
To date, the reform and adaptation of common spaces, waiting rooms and the reception area have been carried out, Cardiology, Gynecology, Digestive System, Ophthalmology, General Medicine, General Surgery and Hair Implant consultations have been opened and A Covid testing service has been launched, all with the aim of bringing the best healthcare to the residents of Almendralejo.
