El Ribera healthcare group has formalized the acquisition of Virgen de la Caridad Medical Center Group, the largest private healthcare operator in Murcia. This operation is an example of Ribera's commitment to this region, where it already manages Ribera Hospital de Molina, in Molina de Segura, which covers an area of influence of 140.000 citizens. In addition, Ribera manages in Alicante the Vinalopó University Hospital in Elche and the Hospital de Denia, and their Primary Care networks.
Founded in 1981 and with a staff of more than 560 professionals, the Virgen de la Caridad Medical Center group has the Cartagena Hospital, built in 2018, and the Hospital of Caravaca, renovated last year, in addition to a network of more than 30 medical centers and six specialized units. The Virgen de la Caridad Medical Center group is the leader in private healthcare provision in the Region of Murcia by number of centers, in addition to being present in all the towns with the largest populations in this autonomous community.
