    The Ribera group breaks its historical record for scientific publications with a 75% growth in 2025

    • He has reached 264 scientific publications, the highest volume of research production in his career, where the university hospitals of Torrejón and Vinalopó, the Ribera Povisa and Ribera Polusa hospitals and the Cascais hospital (Portugal) stand out.

    The area of Research The Ribera healthcare group has achieved in 2025 the highest volume of scientific production in its history, with a total of 264 scientific publications, which represents a growth of 75% compared to the previous year and consolidates the group's strategic commitment to research, clinical innovation and the generation of knowledge at the service of patients.

    This significant increase in research activity has been made possible thanks to the involvement of 144 research professionals from the different Ribera hospitals, as well as the corporate boost made, especially in the last year, to provide the centers with tools, methodology, technical support and governance structures aimed at facilitating clinical trials, observational studies and high-impact scientific publications.

    Among the hospitals in the group with the highest research activity, the following stand out: Torrejón University Hospital, with 129 publications; the Vinalopó University Hospital, with 44; the hospital Ribera Povisa, with 34; the Cascais hospital (Portugal), with 27; and the hospital Ribera Polusa Although it only has two publications, its publications have the highest impact factor.

    Furthermore, 15 of these publications have an impact factor exceeding 30, an indicator of the relevance and scientific quality of the work carried out by professionals within the Ribera healthcare group. Among the most notable publications are studies published in prestigious international medical journals such as The Lancet, Nature Medicine, and the New England Journal of Medicine, with contributions from researchers such as Doctors Javier Cortés, Iván Núñez, and Secundino Cigarral.

    Research and scientific reputation

    By specialty, the areas with the highest volume of scientific publications during 2025 were Cardiology, with 32 works; Clinical Oncology, with 27; Radiodiagnosis, with 26; Obstetrics and Gynecology, with 24; and Neurology, with 15 publications.

    Other notable areas include Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, Urology, Intensive Care Medicine, Psychiatry and Mental Health, Pediatrics, Emergency Medicine, Preventive Medicine, Anesthesiology, and Pulmonology.
