- These awards are intended to recognize the efforts of various companies in the field of work, family and personal life and social initiative, highlighting the role of work-life balance as a "lever for profitability" for companies.
The conciliation policies of the Ribera Salud group have been distinguished, in the I Edition of the Family Awards, organized by La Razón. The prize has been collected, this morning, by the Corporate People Director, Salvador Sanchis, during a ceremony held at the newspaper's headquarters in Madrid, which was presided over by the Director of La Razón, Francisco Maruenda.
These awards aim recognize the efforts of various companies in the field of work, family and personal life and social initiative highlighting the role of conciliation as “lever of profitability” for companies. In Spain, there are more and more companies that have broadened their perspective and given a new turn to the conciliation policy of their organization, regardless of the family responsibilities of each of the professionals, through practices that promote more flexible schedules, favor teleworking and offer support at key moments in life.
Since its inception, Ribera Salud has made a strong commitment to a progressive improvement in the working conditions of its professionals in terms of working hours, work organization and the reconciliation of work and family life. For the Corporate People Director, Salvador Sanchis, “We are aware of the importance of conciliation to achieve a full life. In this sense, we have reached agreements looking for formulas that help people reconcile at every moment of their lives and in every situation, regardless of whether they are men or women. For example, being able to take leave of absence with a job reservation of up to five years for child care, or during the vacation period for the care of children or dependent relatives; permits for all types of health care, interventions, tests, consultations, both individuals and for family members up to the second degree, the possibility of adapting the working day or teleworking for single-parent families, etc.
These improvements, as Sanchis has qualified, have been consolidated year after year, placing special focus on the benefit of those professionals who, due to the characteristics of their job, carry out their activity under work systems that may be less comfortable, like those who
include shift and night work, work on holidays or continuous care services. "This award is a boost to continue working on a new people management policy adapted to the needs of the XNUMXst century that facilitates work-life balance", has pointed.
Together with the Ribera Salud group, in this first edition of the 'Family Awards' have also been awarded Viajes El Corte Inglés, the website 'What to do with the children', Marina d'Or Hotels and the Filia Foundation, among others.
