The Hospital has specific measures that guarantee the continuity of the Center's activity safely in the face of the pandemic, so that we have differentiated care circuits for patients with suspected and other causes.
In the Emergency Department and outpatient care areas, patient support has been limited in special situations such as high vulnerability (dementia, AA condition, functional diversity, minors) or limitation of the patient's communication capacity.
In hospitalization, visits have been limited to 1 companion per patient, with the safety conditions described above. We ask you to avoid exchanges, ensuring that the same person always attends.
Patients hospitalized in a risk area for COVID-19 have restricted visits, and if necessary, with their consent, a family member will be designated to be informed daily and of any change in their clinical situation.
From the moment of your admission you are exposed to risks linked to healthcare, therefore to guarantee your safety, both you and your companion must follow the following instructions set out by Law:
-Keep the surgical mask on in all rooms. Do not use non-recommended ones (cloth or filter). Ventilate your room frequently, unless contraindicated.
-They must keep a distance of at least 1,5 meters from other patients and companions.
-Wash your hands frequently and use existing hydroalcoholic solution dispensers.
Views
1) Visits are restricted under highly complex exceptions (such as companions in a state of greater vulnerability than the patient himself); where the nursing supervisor or doctor on duty responsible for the patient must assess the convenience.
2) Permanent accompaniment will only be allowed in the following cases:
- Minors (-18 years)
- Procedures that require support for their performance (sedation, pupil dilation, etc.)
- Vulnerable patients
- AA card holders
- Functional diversity
- Frail elderly
- Pregnancy and/or childbirth
- End of life situation
- Exceptional highly complex situations
3) Accompaniment conditions:
- Use of personal protective equipment (surgical mask and/or FPP2). If you wear a cloth mask, change will be provided at the entrance.
- Only one companion per patient under the circumstances described above.
- The companion must not present symptoms
- If the accompaniment corresponds to hospitalization, the companion will have limited exits from the space he or she shares with the patient, having to remain in the room and avoiding common areas.
