The Teaching Commission of the Ribera Povisa Hospital, in operation since 1991 and chaired by Dr. Javier de la Fuente, coordinates everything related to the Resident Internal Physicians and Medical students, in addition to the Hospital's teaching activity (clinical sessions, Primary Care and resident courses, etc.)
Every year at the Ribera Povisa Hospital we receive MIRes for Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology, General Surgery, Anesthesiology and Resuscitation, Radiodiagnosis and Internal Medicine. In addition, we collaborate in the training of Family and Community Medicine residents belonging to the Multiprofessional Teaching Unit for Family and Community Care of Vigo.
The Teaching Commission also organizes internships for 6th year Medicine students from the University of Santiago de Compostela who come to the Internal Medicine Service and other subspecialties. “Other students from Spanish and foreign universities also choose our hospital for internships.”
