With More than 40.000 m2, more than 300 beds installed and more than 1.500 professionals, Ribera Povisa is the largest private hospital in Spain.
Much of its activity focuses on caring for the more than 130.000 public health patients assigned to it under an agreement with the Galician Health Service.

Annually, the hospital records about 20.000 admissions, more than 400.000 consultations and about 25.000 surgical interventions. 
In the public sphere, it is a reference for the South of Galicia in Complex Upper Limb Surgery, Peripheral Nerve Surgery, Maxillofacial Surgery, Burns, Children's Plastic Surgery and Lithotripsy (the latter only for the Vigo area). It also has a recently renovated 24-hour emergency service, with all specialties and the most modern organization and diagnosis systems. 

Ribera Povisa is also the only private hospital in Galicia that has MIR training for specialists in Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Anesthesiology, Radiology, Traumatology and Family and Community Medicine. 
In this field of training, considered strategic by the management of the Ribera group, it also has the Povisa Study Center based in Vigo and from which new graduates in Nursing and Vocational Training in the health field emerge every year.
