    Patient Council

Space for citizen participation to improve healthcare

    What is Patient Advice?

It is a citizen participation body made up of different associations of patients, relatives and users who meet periodically with the management of the Ribera Povisa Hospital, generating a common communication forum aimed at improving healthcare.

What is the objective of the Patients Council?

This forum makes it possible to share the needs of patients and users and jointly improve the care they receive. The Patient Council focuses its efforts on communicating the needs that arise from patients and their families, informing about programs carried out in different associations and foundations; expose and carry out new activities that improve attendance; and propose new ideas, requests and suggestions between the associations themselves and the hospital.

What content do the meetings have?

It is a space for listening and dialogue on those issues that most concern healthcare workers and citizens. Representatives of the associations have the opportunity to learn, first-hand, about the main lines of work of the department. Furthermore, at each council meeting a leading association is given a voice to present its needs and proposals to the rest. The possibility of participating in workshops and activities or attending colloquium talks that generate a bond between the associations and the health institution is also offered.
