He also aims to help resolve medical problems as quickly as possible, even performing tests (ECG, echocardiogram, etc.) during the first appointment if necessary. Because the earlier the diagnosis, the better the treatment.
Patients with cardiovascular risk factors such as high blood pressure, heart failure due to heart valve problems, cardiomyopathies, arrhythmias, ischemic heart disease (angina, myocardial infarction) are common pathologies that require follow-up by a cardiologist.
Patients with difficulty breathing under exertion or at rest, swollen legs in the afternoon, chest pain, dizziness, palpitations, etc. These are symptoms that may point to a cardiac problem that should be studied and identified.
Beyond medical care, personalized attention is paramount, with a warm and friendly approach that facilitates communication and alleviates the anxiety that often accompanies the patient. It's important to feel comfortable so that you can ask questions openly and actively participate in improving your symptoms, since medication isn't everything.
And remember, your cardiologist is here to help and advise you as much as possible.
