Maternity Area – Midwives
Midwives, as nurses specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology, are dedicated to supporting women through their experiences of motherhood, pregnancy, breastfeeding, childbirth, and sexuality. For this reason, we are the ideal professionals to educate women, supporting them and providing care and advice during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period.
At our clinic, we are committed to providing personalized care during this special and important time so that you can arrive at childbirth in the best possible conditions.
Our services include:
Antenatal classes
A multi-session audiovisual course on maternal education in which various topics will be discussed in a group setting.
hypnobirthing
A set of emotional and mental techniques worked on at a conscious and unconscious level, which help the woman to enjoy pregnancy and prepare for the moment of the birth of her baby.
Pilates during pregnancy
The Pilates method allows for a workout that is especially recommended for pregnant women to improve their physical condition, thus promoting well-being during pregnancy.
Regular and properly focused physical activity is necessary to cope with the physical changes that a woman gradually experiences during pregnancy and for a more optimal postpartum recovery.
Postpartum Pilates with or without your baby
Pilates after childbirth allows women to recover better and faster by focusing exercises on progressive pelvic floor and abdominal strengthening, as well as general toning and stretching. Furthermore, practicing with the baby fosters the mother-child bond, stimulating the baby's emotional, intellectual, and motor development.
Matronatation
Swimming during pregnancy is beneficial by promoting freedom of movement and relieving extra weight, increasing flexibility, toning the muscles that suffer the most during pregnancy, and training those involved in childbirth.
Infant massage
Skin stimulation is essential for proper physical and psychological development. Regular massage of babies and children improves digestion, relieves colic and gas, promotes sleep, helps release tension, and strengthens the bond with parents.
Breastfeeding counseling
Individually or in groups, we review the correct position and grip on the chest, as well as any problems and difficulties that may arise.
Pelvic floor exercises and hypopressive gymnastics
Sessions for women of all ages who wish to become aware of their pelvic floor by exercising the pelvic floor muscles and abdominal girdle with hypopressive and perineal exercises, exercises to prevent and/or improve dysfunctions, sphincter incontinence…
Postpartum care
To support, advise and facilitate the mother's recovery and autonomy.
With monitoring of the mother's physical condition, control of the episiotomy healing process, uterine involution and bleeding.
Monitoring the baby with weight control and umbilical cord healing.
