A graduate in Medicine and Surgery from the Autonomous University of Madrid in 1989, he is a Specialist in Gastroenterology after completing his residency training in 1993 at the University Hospital of La Princesa in Madrid. He practiced at the Lucus Augusti University Hospital (formerly H. Xeral) from 1994 until requesting voluntary leave in 2018. He furthered his training at the Endoscopy Unit of the University Clinic of Pamplona in 2005 and is a member of the most relevant scientific societies in his specialty.

Services offered:
- Medical consultation addressing the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of all types of diseases of the digestive system such as: reflux/hiatal hernia, gastroduodenal ulcer/gastritis, liver, gallbladder and pancreas pathology, irritable bowel syndrome, colitis, etc.
- Prevention and early diagnosis of digestive system tumors, with special emphasis on colon and rectal cancer. In this regard, it is worth highlighting their active participation in the development of the "Early Detection Program for Colorectal Cancer in Galicia," of the Galician Ministry of Health, and the "Rapid Care Pathway for Patients Suspected of Colorectal Cancer," of the Galician Health Service.
- Diagnostic and Therapeutic Endoscopy: Endoscopic techniques are fundamental for the diagnosis and treatment of various digestive diseases, as well as for the prevention of colon cancer (polyp removal). To ensure the greatest safety and comfort for our patients, endoscopies will be performed under sedation (unless the patient requests otherwise) at the Ribera Polusa Hospital, which has a newly renovated Endoscopy Unit equipped with state-of-the-art technology.
