A jury of professionals decides these awards organized by the CSIF union with the collaboration of Grupo Ribera Salud and Uniteco.
Pablo Ferri, José Forés and Elvira Graullera have won, in different categories, the tenth edition of the Valencian Community Journalism Awards. The event is organized by the CSIF union with the collaboration of Grupo Ribera Salud and Uniteco Seguros. The secret vote of the jury, made up exclusively of information professionals, has led to that verdict this morning. The awards ceremony will take place on February 28 at the SH Valencia Palace hotel.
Pablo Ferri Tórtola, Revelation Journalist 2018He graduated in Journalism from the CEU Cardenal Herrera University and completed a Master's in Journalism from the newspaper El País. Born in Valencia, he created, together with two other colleagues, the Dromómanos work group, and for two years they traveled from Mexico to Argentina investigating drug trafficking. He won the Ortega y Gasset award for the set of reports he produced, which also led to the publication of the book Narcoamérica. He settled in Mexico, first working for El Universal and for other media and now he is in the El País delegation. He has twice won Mexico's National Journalism Award.
José Forés Romero, Journalist of the Year 2018, began his career in 1999 on Radio Spain. Since then he has worked at 97.7 Radio and Las Provincias, a company in which he developed his work both on radio and television and in his web edition. He is currently responsible for the informative morning radio program Despierta Valencia, on CV Radio, and delegate of El Periódico de Aquí in its Valencia edition.
Elvira Graullera Moroder, Professional Career Award, celebrated two decades in 2018 as a delegate of the Europa Press agency in the Valencian Community. She was part of the first class of Journalism at the CEU San Pablo university, she did an internship at the Levante newspaper, the EFE agency, the Presidency and AVA. In 1995 she started at Europa Press, where she has directed the delegation since 1998. She collaborates in numerous radio and television media. She has led the modernization and expansion of her agency, which in this period has gone from having four to having 15 editors.
