    María Pilar Navarro, new manager of the Denia Health Department

    • With 18 years of experience in the concession model, he has developed his career in the departments of La Ribera (Alzira), Manises, Torrevieja, Vinalopó (Elche) and the last 15 months as manager of the Torrejón University Hospital (Madrid)
    • In this new stage, the Department's Strategic Plan for the next five years will be presented, on which a multidisciplinary team of professionals has been working in recent months.

    Dénia, September 20, 2023 – The health group Ribera has appointed María Pilar Navarro, until now managing director of the Denia Health Department, as the new manager. Torrejón University Hospital from Ardoz (Madrid), also managed by Ribera. With almost 20 years of experience in the concession model, Navarro began his professional career at the Hospital de La Ribera (Alzira) in 2005, he has worked in the departments of Manises, Torrevieja and Vinalopo (Elche), and for the last 15 months she has been the managing director of the Torrejón de Ardoz University Hospital, one of the health centers in the Community of Madrid that operates with the public-private model.

    María Pilar Navarro has a degree in Law from the University of Valencia and an MBA in Administration and Management of Health Services from the Pompeu Fabra University.

    In this new stage, the proposal for the Strategic Plan of this Health Department of the Valencian Community for the next 5 years will be presented. This plan has been drafted by a multidisciplinary team of professionals from this Department of Health in recent months and has already been presented to the Ministry of Health and the Presidency of the Generalitat.

    The Ribera group advances that it has planned an investment of 60 million euros in 5 years for the Marina Alta region and that ranges from the construction of new health centers and the renewal of infrastructure in Primary Care to a firm commitment to high technology and equipment renewal. But without a doubt, they add from the health group, the largest budget item is for the People Area, where it is planned to invest in programs aimed at attracting and retaining talent and the well-being of professionals.

    In the coming weeks, María Pilar Navarro will begin meetings with the professionals and union representatives of the Department, as well as with the mayors and patient associations of the region, to convey to them the commitment of the Ribera health group to excellence in health care, in benefit of the citizens of the area.

    Maria Pilar Navarro replaces Javier Palau, who has been linked to the healthcare group in recent years and whom Ribera thanks for the services provided and wishes him the best of luck in his new projects.
