Valencia, December 28 2023 – Group health centers Ribera They dress up these Christmas days and organize activities, musical performances and special visits to liven up the stay of hospitalized patients and also those who spend many hours of treatment in areas such as dialysis or oncology day hospital. In addition, solidarity collections of toys, clothing and food are organized for families at risk of exclusion and the Ribera centers encourage the participation of their professionals in volunteer projects during these designated dates.
Patients and professionals Vinalopó University Hospital (Elche) and the Denia Hospital have received a visit from Captain America and Clown Edy in recent days. In Vinalopó, in addition, the mayor, Pablo Ruz, the Elche firefighters and the city's Handball Club, as well as volunteers from the Carmelitas School, have come to the health center, who spent a nice afternoon with the Dialysis patients, and also of Marist students, who have delivered precious messages of encouragement to the patients. The association of professional footballers has already visited the Torrejón University Hospital, carrying balls and souvenirs for the most athletic children admitted to the center. Other notable visits to Torrejón have been those of the Guachis and Inter Movistar, who, like every year, delight the hospital's youngest patients; and the Torrejón firefighters. As regards the Hospital de Denia, the students of the Raquel Payá Special Education School were responsible for decorating the center's Christmas tree at the beginning of the month, and the Pediatric patients have recently received a visit from the National Police, in addition to Captain America and the clown and magician Edy, who also went to Vinalopó. In addition, this year the children admitted to Pediatrics have been in charge of giving the professionals of this ward a Christmas decoration made by themselves, as a gesture of gratitude and empathy. Hospital professionals Riverside Juan Cardona (Ferrol) have once again exceeded the expectations of the solidarity collection of toys that they organize every year and give to children from families at risk of exclusion, and a similar situation has occurred in Practiser, the group's subsidiary in Murcia; At the Ribera hospital in Cascais, kilos of baby clothes have been collected for vulnerable families and non-perishable food has been the solidarity project in Ribera Polusa this year; while at the group's headquarters, a corporate volunteer program has been organized, as every year, at the Casa de la Caridad, to help this centenary organization in the city of Valencia, which helps thousands of people at risk of exclusion, to organize the food dispensary for these holidays. Ribera Virgen de la Caridad has, for its part, participated in a charity gala to help families of children with brain damage, including several patients from the group's own hospital in Cartagena.
On the most important dates of these holidays, patients at all Ribera hospitals enjoy special menus, adapted to their diet and pathology.
Christmas music and decoration
