    The Ribera Salud hospitals extend hours to reinforce security in the de-escalation

    • All centers resume 100% activity in consultations and operating rooms, spacing out agendas and reinforcing security measures at access, with temperature controls, hand hygiene and masks 
    • Protocols for protection, surveillance and rapid identification of suspected cases are implemented and home hospitalization, telemedicine and communication with primary care are reinforced 

    VALENCIA, JUNE 15, 2020. Hospitals in Ribera Health They are back to normal after the COVID19 health crisis and have already resumed their full activity in consultations and operating rooms with all the safety guarantees for their patients and professionals. One of the most recent measures has been the extension of hours, both in the morning and in the afternoon, to space out schedules and avoid waiting for patients in the center, but at the same time attend to those who have had their consultation or intervention suspended due to the pandemic, as it is not urgent.

    The objective of the Ribera Salud centers is "to continue taking care of you as always: with the best professionals, with all the security and without waiting lists". "It is our responsibility to guarantee peace of mind and the best care for our patients, also in this post-COVID return to normality," they say.

    For this reason, The security measures that were already implemented during the health crisis have been reinforced. In addition to the protection material for professionals, the reinforcement of the laundry service for all uniforms, the carrying out of rapid tests on health personnel and also on workers from outsourced services (maintenance, security, cleaning, catering, etc.), have implanted safe circuits and protocols for protection, surveillance and rapid identification of suspicious cases. For this, in addition to the telephone triages prior to an appointment for a consultation and the questionnaires at admission to the Emergency Department, our centers continue to collaborate closely with nursing homes, social-health centers and penal institutions, as well as with primary care centers. and its professionals, essential in detecting the symptoms of this virus.

    With consultations and operating rooms on the way to 100% activity, the increase in patients has led the management of the Ribera Salud centers to intensify temperature controls at entrances and both hand hygiene is mandatory such as the use of a mask before entering health centers. The appropriate social distance has also been marked in waiting rooms and patient care and information counters. 

    In this same line, home hospitalization has been reinforced, especially for the cases of chronic patients, more vulnerable to the virus, and telemedicine, for all those consultations, medication changes or controls that can be carried out online, in order to reduce the number of face-to-face visits in the centers.
