About the documentary 'Day 0'
The documentary 'Day 0', produced by Grupoidex and La Boutique 77, and directed by Javier Cumella, aims to make visible the reality of the more than 100.000 people who overcome cancer every year in Spain, and who add up to a total of almost two million survivors. The Sandra Ibarra Foundation has been working for years on projects focused on improving the quality of life and well-being of these people, as well as on the creation of specific care protocols for these people since, as the work shows, medical discharge does not mean the end of the process.
Through the stories of Francisco, Elena, Darío, Bárbara, Mateo and Sandra, the work highlights the needs that patients face not only throughout the treatment, but also the physical, emotional and social consequences they face once they have overcome the disease.
