- Voice and Artificial Intelligence technology is recognized as allowing continuous and personalized monitoring of patients, detecting risks to their health in advance and increasing the care capacity of professionals.
The MIA awards of the Mediterranean Marketing Club have assessed that the best Innovation project presented in this year's edition has been the patient monitoring program with the virtual caregiver that promotes the health group Ribera, known as Lola. Not only the originality of voice technology, combined with Artificial Intelligence, is recognized, but also the great acceptance among patients and their families, and the protocol developed by professionals for remote control of the vital signs and health status of the patients.
The Ribera group's program for remote patient monitoring, which includes the virtual caregiver Lola, developed in collaboration with the startup tucuvi, is a technology that allows remote monitoring and control of thousands of patients with various pathologies related to respiratory problems, such as COPD, as well as palliative patients, whether oncological or not, in Ribera hospitals. Lola is a platform that, through voice technology, is capable of making multiple calls in a short interval of time, without the patient needing advanced devices, beyond a telephone. This virtual caregiver collects and processes all the information provided by the patient, to whom she asks the appropriate questions, thanks to Artificial Intelligence. For the program, protocols have been developed with health professionals so that, in the event of decompensation of the patient's vital signs or worsening of their health status, an alert is issued so that a health professional immediately contacts that patient. This anticipates risks for the patient and increases the ability of healthcare professionals to care for more patients with the highest quality.
Esther Aucejo, digital project manager of the Ribera group, was in charge of collecting the award yesterday and thanking the recognition at a gala, held at the Huerto de Santa María (El Puig-Valencia) which was also attended by the director of Communication, Marketing and CSR of the group, Angélica Alarcón, the deputy director of the same area, Davinia Guilló, the head of Social Media of the group, Alba Martínez, and the head of Communication and Marketing of Ribera IMSKE, Alejandro Aznar.
