Ribera Healthcare Group adds María Cordón to its Board of Directors

The Ribera Healthcare Group has appointed Maria Cordón as an independent member of the company's Board of Directors and advisor to the president.

Dr. Cordón will advise the Ribera Group in the development of projects in the field of PRIVATE HEALTH CARE and public-private partnerships, "contributing their experience in the sector and their medical knowledge to continue promoting the Ribera Healthcare Group's commitment to quality care, innovation, and sustainability in the Spanish healthcare system."

With over 20 years of experience in the healthcare sector, she was CEO of Grupo Hospitalario Quirón from 1996 to 2014 and currently leads Blue Healthcare, a project specializing in anticipatory medicine, inspired by "Blue Zones" and the medicine of the future. In addition to being recognized for her transformative leadership, patient-centered approach, and drive for technological innovation, Cordón has been recognized among the 20 greatest leaders in Spain for her contribution to the advancement of the healthcare sector.

A graduate in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Zaragoza (1987-1993), she complemented her training with an MBA from the Instituto de Empresa in Madrid (1994-1995) and a leadership program at Duke University, USA (2017-2018).

"I feel very honored to be able to advise such a powerful international group, working alongside Grupo Sanitario Ribera. It's a source of pride to be able to contribute to promoting quality medicine for patients and physicians," said Dr. María Cordón.

With this appointment, the European group Vivalto Santé, the largest shareholder of the Ribera Healthcare Group, "reinforces its commitment to the Spanish market and promotes its long-term strategy in our country with one of the leading figures in the healthcare sector," according to the same sources.

For his part, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Emmanuel de Geuser, emphasized that "our commitment to María's experience, vision, and leadership represents a firm step in our strategy toward consolidating Ribera as a benchmark in valuable medicine." "Her knowledge and strategic vision will be key to addressing the challenges of the future," he emphasized.

The Ribera Healthcare Group continues to develop its strategy toward a responsible healthcare model based on innovation, the humanization of medical care, and sustainability.

Present in seven autonomous communities and with international projects in Portugal, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia, Ribera is committed to specialization, diversification, and the incorporation of new diagnostic and surgical techniques to offer comprehensive, local care. Its priorities include attracting and retaining healthcare talent, public-private collaboration, the digitalization of services through its Futurs technology, and a commitment to the environment by reducing its carbon footprint.

These strategic lines will continue to guide the spirit of the Ribera Healthcare Group's projects and reinforce its role as a leader in the transformation of the healthcare system and the improvement of social well-being.
