- The director of Communication, Marketing and Corporate Social Responsibility, Angélica Alarcón, received the award at the Marketing Club awards ceremony, organized yesterday at the Palacio de Congresos de Valencia and assured that "this award is for our patients"
The companionship plan for pets for long-stay patients or patients with severe pathologies in the hospitals of the Ribera healthcare group received important public recognition yesterday, as it was the winner of the MIA Award for Health Humanization. The director of Communication, Marketing and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Angélica Alarcón, was in charge of collecting the award, at the ceremony for these awards organized by the Mediterranean Marketing Club, and that this year was held in the Palace of Congresses of Valencia.
This innovative initiative, launched in several of the Ribera group health centers, and which was awarded yesterday, facilitates the visit of pets in Ribera hospitals to those patients admitted for a long period of time or with severe pathologies, following strict safety and hygiene protocols. During the toughest moments of the pandemic, this monitoring was carried out through mobile devices, through which patients could see their companion animals live. The health professionals who care for these patients assure that they have been able to verify that these visits improve mood, which has a positive influence on the health of the patients. This is how they explain it in this video.
Angélica Alarcón, director of Communication, Marketing and CSR of the Ribera group, assured yesterday, when collecting the award, that "this award is for our patients" and recalled that the pandemic has been a great challenge so that health organizations do not go backwards in their humanization plans with patients. "Valuing actions like this, in environments as complex as healthcare and in times as difficult as a pandemic, helps us to continue working on the main objective of the group: to offer the best healthcare, whether public or private, with our model of responsible health”.
