El Ribera healthcare group presents next Friday, April 23, International Book Day, "Covid: the story of our heroes", a written and graphic testimony of the first months of the pandemic in its hospitals in the Valencian Community, Madrid and Galicia, in the form of tribute to its professionals, but also to all those who worked and are still working today to stop this virus. The event will take place at the Teatro del Ateneo Mercantil de Valencia starting at 12:00 p.m., under strict attendance control as capacity is limited, according to sanitary restrictions.
'Covid: the story of our heroes' pays tribute to the health professionals of the Ribera group in particular, and to all health professionals in general, for the effective response they have had and have to face the first pandemic of the XNUMXst century and that has already, sadly, left millions of lives around the world.
This book is the written and graphic testimony of the first months of the pandemic and narrates how the health group faced the management of this crisis from the moment the first Covid patient in Spain was detected in one of its hospitals, the Torrejón University Hospital. It is inspired by the documentary that bears the same name and that was recorded by the Ribera health group during the first wave of the pandemic, between the months of March and June 2020, in university hospitals, health centers, and home care in the health areas of Torrevieja, Vinalopo, Torrejon and Vigo.
After the presentation of the book 'Covid: the story of our heroes', the CEO of the Ribera health group, Elisa Tarazona, will give way to the projection of the documentary with testimonies from professionals and patients as real as the history of this pandemic, which has changed our lives and habits forever.
