Authorized by the patient, and taking into account this serious fact, the Management wishes to clarify that:
- The Vinalopó University Hospital treated the president of the Ribera group for a cardiac emergency that occurred while he was at the center for a work meeting on Wednesday, June 28, 2023.
- As a consequence of this URGENT MEDICAL ATTENTION, the patient underwent surgery under the responsibility of the Hemodynamics service, and a coronary stent was placed.
- The center did not “close” any “hemifloor” and wants to make it clear that it does not have “special” rooms; All their rooms are individual and exactly the same for all patients.
- ADR was admitted to the second floor along with 14 other patients in the same hallway, and was cared for by the nursing staff who were on duty at that time.
- It is flatly false that exclusive care has been provided that has been detrimental to the care provided to other patients.
- The Vinalopó University Hospital wishes to warn about the irresponsibility of the Compromís deputy, Carlos Esteve, in violating the patients' right to privacy, violating the data protection law, by making ADR's hospital admission public.
- Furthermore, the self-serving use of this serious health episode as a political argument is reprehensible and an act of bad faith.
The hospital is studying the appropriate legal measures.
