    The Ribera health group joins the Business Council of the Master in CSR of the UPV

    • The organizations sign a four-year agreement, which contemplates collaboration in actions linked to the university degree
    • In addition, the entities will explore other possible joint innovative initiatives aimed at the promotion, training, dissemination and professionalization of corporate responsibility and sustainability.

    The health group Ribera joins the Business Council of the Master of Lifelong Training in Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability of the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV). By signing an agreement valid for four years, both parties undertake to collaborate in actions linked to the training plan, as well as to promote other joint innovative initiatives that contribute to the promotion, training, dissemination and professionalization of responsibility and sustainability. in the university and business environment of the Valencian Community.

    At the official signing of the agreement, Ribera's CEO, Elisa Tarazona, stressed that social responsibility and sustainability are key elements in the healthcare group's transversal strategy, framed in its commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). ) and the 2030 Agenda. 

    “Our commitment to the health and well-being of the population is reflected in the more than 3.000 actions that we organize each year to help prevent and promote healthy habits, with which we reach more than 40.000 patients,” explains the counselor. delegate. She also highlights “the care of our professionals is another of the strategic axes in which the group works with our Ribera Life employee well-being program.”

    In relation to the study plan, the agreement contemplates different activities, such as talks to students; collaboration in training, information and awareness events, as well as Ribera's support in actions that allow progress in the objective of constant improvement of the linked training programs. Other initiatives will be added to these lines of work, which will focus especially on innovation with positive impact, both in social and environmental terms.

    Gabriel García Martínez, professor at the UPV and director of the Master in CSR, highlights that, “Ribera has established itself, in recent years, as one of the leading organizations in the Valencian Community in terms of strategies and actions for the integration of sustainability. in structure, management and services, in a sector that concerns us all, such as health. In addition, it is an active entity in actions to make visible and promote good practices in these areas. Without a doubt, the collaboration with the Master in CSR at the UPV and with the organizations that make up the Business Council will bear very positive results.

    An organization that is committed to innovation with impact

    Ribera is a business group founded in 1997, a provider of health services. With more than 9.200 professionals, its vocation is to transform the way of working and innovate in health management, to improve the health and well-being of the population.

    About the Master in CSR at the UPV

    The Master of Lifelong Training in Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability (60 ECTS, 600 hours) is a degree from the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV). The director of the Master, Gabriel García Martínez, and the academic coordinator, Guadalupe Orea, are professors in the Department of Economics and Social Sciences of the UPV. The teaching staff is made up of national and international professionals, who carry out their professional work both in the university and in the business world.

    The Master in CSR at the UPV has a long history: in February, its seventeenth edition will begin, with students from all over the world, thanks to the online format. In addition, it has reached twelve editions in Colombia, five in the Dominican Republic and two in Uruguay, in collaboration with universities from these countries. The Master's study plan is complemented by a Specialization Diploma in Social Responsibility and Sustainability (with 30 ETCS, 300 hours) and an Expert Diploma (15 ECTS, 150 hours).

    The Master's Business Council already includes organizations such as Fundación Étnor, Caixa Popular, Teika, Sodexo, Huevos Guillén, Grupo Cajamar, Statkraft, EQA, the Foundation for Stock Market and Financial Studies (FEBF), Volies, the Business Association of Residences and Services for Dependent Persons of the Valencian Community (AERTE) and the Spanish Association of Managers for Public Administration (AEGAP). It is open to new additions.
