The Ribera health group has reached a collaboration agreement with the Royal Spanish Handball Federation to carry out COVID tests on the teams participating in the 2021 Women's Handball World Cup. With the aim of guaranteeing the health security of the World Championship, RiberaLab, Ribera's laboratory division, centralizes the COVID test service that is carried out on the participants in three of the four venues where the competition is held.
On December 1, 32 teams began their journey in the 25th Women's Handball World Cup, the first to be held in Spanish territory in history. A world event that concentrates the main protagonists in four venues: Granollers, Llíria, Castellón and Torrevieja. The last three, from the Valencian Community, have the collaboration of the laboratory division of the Ribera health group. RiberaLab guarantees the security of the event by carrying out COVID tests so that the more than one hundred games that are at stake throughout the competition can be played without incident.
At the Llíria, Castellón and Torrevieja headquarters, the Ribera health professionals have set up different rooms to bring together all the tests carried out on a daily basis. With the aim of interfering as little as possible in the routines of the 32 teams, they adapt the schedules to the needs of the players, coaching staff and referees. A fundamental task for this world event to be carried out in Spain, which is broadcast in a total of 178 countries.
The continuous commitment of the Ribera health group to guarantee responsible health has contributed to the professionalization of RiberaLab in the coverage of large events of different kinds, ensuring their celebration with all the health guarantees. Given the epidemiological conditions, carrying out massive tests is the most effective way to achieve a safe environment.
