- Manages two health departments in the Valencian Community, with a total of 60 health centers and clinics
- Ribera Hospital de Molina joins the celebration and distribution of Easter cakes and pancakes, to thank the Primary Care professionals from the two centers in Molina (Murcia) for their collaboration
The last two years have not been easy for Primary Care professionals, as a result of the pandemic. Despite everything, the commitment and dedication of all of them, health professionals and administration and service personnel, in the health departments of Vinalopo y Denia, managed by the Ribera healthcare group, have made it possible to guarantee face-to-face or home care and the highest quality care for their patients.
In addition to the health care of the general population, the monitoring of chronic patients and the flu campaign, in this last year, Covid vaccination and care for patients with mild symptoms of this virus have been added by Primary Care professionals. The activity has been "frantic", they say, but thanks to orderly management, Ribera's human resources policy and the collaboration of professionals, the citizens of these health areas managed by the health group in the Valencian Community have received quality care and in the shortest possible time, depending on the demand peaks at all times.
In the Denia Health Department, for example, in the flu campaign 44.222 vaccines have been administered and in Vinalopó alone in the first quarter of this year almost 300.000 face-to-face and 161.500 telephone consultations have been carried out, and more than 10.000 home visits.
The Ribera health group wanted to thank the Primary Care professionals for their work, dedication and effort throughout the pandemic, but especially in the last year and for this reason it has organized the distribution of cakes and pancakes in the centers it manages in the departments of health of Denia and Vinalopó and also by way of recognition, for the work carried out and the collaboration with the professionals of other centers such as those of Molina del Segura (Murcia), where the Ribera Hospital of Molina. In the case of Vinalopó, the Management Committee wanted to congratulate them in person for having visited all the centers sharing a day's work, approaching and taking an interest in the specific situation of each health center.
Pedro Hernández, managing director of Ribera Hospital de Molina, has assured that "primary care is the basis of the health system, since doctors and nurses specializing in family medicine and community health accompany the patient during all stages of his life, creating very special bonds with their patients.” For her part, María José Miralles, Director of Care Continuity of the Vinalopó Health Department (Elche), added that "this year, more than ever, it is important to recognize the work of Primary Care, which has borne much of the burden of the pandemic, mass vaccination in both adults and children and the care and monitoring of nursing homes.
