The health group Ribera is interested in acquiring the HCB group and has therefore participated in the structured sale process of this asset along with the main healthcare groups in Spain.
Ribera has now been selected as the sole candidate in this process, which will culminate in the coming months. The acquisition will represent a significant step for the Ribera group, strengthening its presence in the province of Alicante, where it already manages the Vinalopó University Hospital and its primary care centers. The HCB group is a leader in private healthcare and shares Ribera's values, which center on compassion, personalized care, and excellence.
This operation is part of Ribera's strategic development and growth plan, and the healthcare group and its majority shareholder Vivalto continue to explore expansion opportunities in different regions and countries.
In recent months, Ribera has expanded its presence and diversification in Central Europe with the acquisition of the Medican surgical center and the PneumoAlergoCentrum (PAC) clinic, specializing in pulmonology and immunoallergology, in Slovakia. It has also entered Central Europe's largest country with Multimed, a clinic specializing in major outpatient surgery in Poland. In Spain, it has inaugurated the surgical wing of the Ribera Assistens Medical Center in A Coruña, among other projects.
