This year Christmas is different for everyone. Also for professionals Ribera healthcare group that this year they will not be able to enjoy the traditional Christmas event that the company partly paid for, as part of its "Healthy Company" program that seeks the well-being of the human team. This year the group has decided to donate the amount of the Christmas events, which are organized every year in its health centers, to social action projects. And its professionals have chosen several soup kitchens managed by different entities throughout Spain to deliver a total of 30.000 kilos of essential products. Today the delivery of these donations has been made in all the centers of the group.
Initially, the staff of the university hospitals of Torrejon, Torrevieja y Vinalopoof hospitals Ribera Povisa y Santa Justa Bank, of its technological subsidiary futuRS from your purchasing center Riverside b2b and from the central offices of Ribera, they proposed organizations, associations and entities in their environment to which to make this donation and in the last two weeks they have voted to choose those that will finally receive this help. The food banks and soup kitchens managed by different entities in Valencia, Torrejón, Torrevieja, Elche, Vigo and Villanueva de la Serena (Badajoz) will receive these donations, having received the majority of votes in all the group's work centers.
This action, coordinated by Ribera's Department of Communication and Corporate Social Responsibility, is framed within the context of the campaign "This Christmas, more responsible than ever", which the group has transferred to all its centers through different activities. Among others, the corporate volunteer program "The magic of care" stands out, thanks to which the professionals from the group's health centers are organizing musical activities, magic shows, painting workshops and storytelling, among others, to compensate for the absence of the classic Christmas visits from Santa Claus, the Three Wise Men, soccer players from local clubs, entertainers and clowns, who each year cheered up the patients admitted on these dates. In addition, the group's professionals have written and saved their Christmas wishes and for 2021 in hundreds of balls that already adorn the Christmas trees in Ribera hospitals. Centers such as Ribera Povisa will act as a "logistics center" for the collection and delivery of the letters to the Three Wise Men while at the University Hospital of Torrevieja, for example, surprise visits are organized for pets to their owners, who are going to spend Christmas hospitalized , within the protocol for pet visits that some centers of the Ribera group have. And like every year, the patients and professionals of the Ribera hospitals will have special menus this Christmas.
