- Corporate Social Responsibility is part of the group's strategic planning.
- This is one more challenge to make visible and normalize patients with various pathologies, as well as to give value to the joint work that has been carried out in recent years to break down various barriers.
The pilot Daniel Albero, the first person with Type 1 diabetes to take the start of the Dakar Rally, has presented the book that collects his history and experiences to date at the facilities of the Gandía Campus of the Polytechnic University.
The Valencian was accompanied at the event by the Director of the Innovation Chair, Pepe Marín; the founder of the Kurere publishing house, Juan Osoro; representatives of Novo Nordisk and the director of Communication and CSR Ribera, Angélica Alarcón, as main sponsors and the General Director of Sports of the Generalitat Valenciana, Josep Miquel Moyà.
Albero has indicated that he did not see himself capable of writing a book "but the experience has meant a review of my life to realize how self-esteem and continuous improvement have led me to this point, where just four years ago I considered it very difficult to be" .
Its editor has explained how Kurere "seeks to be a business project to give sustainability to the social platform in which, through the sale of solidarity books, we help people and institutions that need support in these difficult times."
For his part, Pepe Marín stressed that Dani represents 'all the people who, being afraid because they are among the risk factors due to the pandemic, are brave and keep going as he has shown by already facing two Dakar Rallies'.
Angélica Alarcón, Director of communication and CSR of Ribera, has pointed out the implications of supporting the project. 'For an entity that must make visible and normalize patients with various pathologies, being at the side of this challenge is essential to give value to the joint work that we have been carrying out in recent years to break down various barriers.'
And Josep Miquel Moyà closed the parliaments, who recalled the support of the Generalitat Valenciana as a unique project 'because it is a story that deserves to be told with the difficulties involved in publishing books today. In the end, sport is always a great excuse to recount a vital odyssey and set an example for many people'.
