The health group Ribera It strengthens its management structure with the addition of Dr. Gonzalo Bartolomé as corporate medical director, a professional with a solid healthcare track record and extensive experience in healthcare management, both nationally and internationally.
A graduate in Medicine and Surgery and a specialist in Ophthalmology, Dr. Bartolomé began his professional career in clinical practice, providing care in outpatient clinics, surgery, and emergency departments in both public and private centers. He later shifted his focus to healthcare management, furthering his training with advanced management and health services programs at leading academic institutions.
For over a decade, she has held various senior positions in major healthcare groups, leading hospitals and strategic regions, as well as growth, transformation, and performance improvement projects. Her experience includes managing large hospitals, overseeing complex healthcare networks, and participating in integration processes following corporate acquisitions.
In addition to his clinical and management activities, Dr. Bartolomé has outstanding teaching experience as a collaborating professor in healthcare management and senior management programs at various business schools and academic organizations.
His joining Ribera has significant strategic value, reinforcing the group's commitment to excellent, safe, and people-centered healthcare, where clinical leadership is an essential pillar for the development of the group's responsible healthcare model.
In his new role as Corporate Medical Director, he will join Ribera's Executive Committee, contributing his clinical expertise, strategic vision, and management experience to strengthen clinical excellence, quality of care, and patient safety across all areas of the organization. He will also play a key role in reinforcing medical leadership and aligning clinical professionals with the group's strategic objectives.
Internal reorganization
With the addition of Dr. Gonzalo Bartolomé, Ribera's operational structure is being reorganized with the creation of three general directorates, to face the new challenges in Spain and Europe, and to continue developing the group's growth strategy in the coming years.
Reporting directly to CEO Pablo Gallart, three geographically divided general management positions have been created: one for Spain, headed by Sonia Hernández; one for Portugal, headed by José Bento; and one for Central Europe, headed by Andrej Hos. Each country-specific general management position will have functional departments reporting directly to it.
With these changes, Ribera firmly maintains its commitment to service and social responsibility, and renews its commitment to its professionals and patients, and to the values that have defined the group since its beginnings as a healthcare group.
