Statement from Emmanuel de Geuser after the meeting at Torrejón Hospital and with the Madrid Regional Government

The president of the Ribera Health group Emmanuel de Geuser, communicates:

Firstly, it regrets the malicious leaks and the self-serving interpretation of the CEO's words expressed in a private meeting that took place last September, and which have been published in various media outlets in a decontextualized context, with the aim of damaging the personal and professional prestige of both the CEO and the company itself.

De Geuser categorically denies any instructions given by Ribera to the professionals at the University Hospital of Torrejón de Ardoz, who have been the subject of accusations in recent days. No triage process has been changed, no medical equipment has been reused, and the criteria for providing care have not been manipulated.

The Group's president met this morning with the hospital's staff, where he shared the initial findings of the Group's internal audit. The staff firmly defended their integrity and freedom in the exercise of their profession at all times. They emphasized their rigorous approach, adhering to the highest standards of healthcare quality and the code of ethics that guides them, and their sole focus on patient well-being, as stated in a document signed on December 4th by the senior healthcare managers (department heads and nursing supervisors). The results of the Internal Audit carried out by Ribera support the good healthcare management of the hospital.

Later that afternoon, in a meeting at the Regional Ministry of Health with its head, Fátima Matute, he explained everything mentioned above and expressed his absolute commitment to providing the highest quality care for patients at the Torrejón de Ardoz Hospital. De Geuser informed her that, given the very serious and false accusations made in various media outlets, he reserves the right to take legal action.

De Geuser regrets that the climate of media tension that Spain is currently experiencing is being transferred to the health sector, becoming a bargaining chip and significantly harming a model like Madrid's, which is an example of success, quality and leadership in healthcare at an international level and which Ribera wants to export to the rest of Europe.
