At Ribera Dent we advocate minimally invasive dentistry with personalized treatments for each child.

discharge splints
It is increasingly common for patients to report pain in the temporomandibular joint, as well as pain in the head, ears, neck and even back.

Oral surgery
We carry out the diagnosis and surgical treatment of pathologies, deformities and maxillary injuries.
What should you know?
What is done in the prior consultation?
At Dentistry Unit of the Ribera Clinic Ciudad Quesada We have established a comprehensive orofacial health care protocol that contemplates, in all cases, a prior consultation in which the general state of the patient is assessed, as well as their history and previous pathologies and their current medication. Next, a meticulous and detailed clinical examination is carried out, and finally, if necessary, a radiological examination by performing both intraoral (radiovisiography) and extraoral (orthopantomography and lateral skull teleradiography) digital x-rays, all with in order to make an accurate diagnosis and determine the most appropriate treatment plan for each case.
General and restorative dentistry
Restorative techniques in dentistry are aimed at the care, conservation and maintenance of dental pieces, preserving their aesthetic and masticatory function for as long as possible.
The maintenance of the dental arch, the harmonic line of the smile, the height of the gum margin, the shape or volume of each tooth, are some of the challenges and demands that we face every day with each patient who comes demanding restoration. of your worn, fractured, malpositioned teeth, etc. Each case requires a prior and individual study.
It is very important to use the right materials, in terms of their quality and the benefits they offer of durability, resistance and aesthetics.
Dental Aesthetics
AESTHETIC VENEERS
Veneers are one of the most demanded aesthetic dental treatments. They are used to improve the shape, size, color and alignment of the teeth in cases of fractures, discoloration, dental malpositions, separation between teeth (diastemas).
The results can be surprising and help the patient to improve the visual appearance of their smile.
TEETH WHITENING
Teeth whitening is an effective, fast and safe treatment if it is carried out under the control of the specialist and following his instructions.
The products used with personalized splints are scientifically tested and do not cause changes in dental enamel.
Implantology or prosthetics on implants
They are individual crowns, fixed bridges or complete prostheses that are anchored on implants previously placed in the edentulous spaces of the patient's mouth. They can be fixed screwed or removable with anchors.
FIXED PROSTHESIS
Screwed on implants, they are made with materials that allow great results in terms of function and aesthetics, this material is ceramicized Zirconium.
Zirconium oxide has a color and appearance very similar to enamel, giving a great naturalness, and the properties of this material, in terms of biocompatibility (absence of allergies), hardness and resistance to chewing forces, make zirconium the ideal choice for the manufacture of prostheses.
The work is carried out by a trusted dental laboratory, which has been working with us for more than 30 years, and uses the latest technologies for the manufacture of prostheses that perfectly reproduce the aesthetics and shape of the teeth.
REMOVABLE PROSTHESIS
Removable dental prostheses allow the patient to put them on and remove them easily, which facilitates oral hygiene. They are the solution for those patients who do not want, or cannot, have dental implants.
There are three types of removable dentures:
○ RESIN REMOVABLE PARTIAL DENTURE, indicated in patients who retain natural teeth in the arch. The type of attachment is called mucodental-supported, because it is attached to the gum and remaining teeth by means of hooks that embrace the natural tooth.
○ REMOVABLE COMPLETE DENTURE, indicated in completely edentulous patients. It is also made of resin and covers the entire upper and/or lower arch, including the palate in the upper one for better retention, it is mucosal-supported.
○ REMOVABLE OR SKELETAL PARTIAL DENTURE. Like the partial resin prosthesis, it is indicated in patients with one or more edentulous areas in the arch. The difference is that the main structure is made of different metal alloys, providing more resistance to chewing forces and wear. The missing teeth and the retainers or hooks for the remaining teeth are welded onto this metal structure.
Periodontics
CONSERVATIVE AND SURGICAL TREATMENT OF PERIODONTITIS
The accumulation of plaque on the teeth affects the gums, the periodontal fibers that connect the tooth with the bone, and the bone itself, causing inflammation, destruction of these fibers, and resorption of the bone that holds the tooth together. This is what is called "Periodontitis or periodontal disease", as a result of which the tooth begins to move and if it is not treated properly it can be lost.
Periodontitis can be considered irreversible, since it cannot return to the initial state due to the loss of bone, gum and periodontal ligament. Early diagnosis of this disease is therefore of vital importance to stop bone loss and prevent the disease from progressing further.
Periodontal therapy is performed periodically by dental cleaning, scaling and root planing, as well as antibiotic treatment and/or periodontal surgery in advanced stages. All this with the aim of creating a healthy oral environment, which the patient must be able to maintain through rigorous oral hygiene.
Endodontics
When the patient presents pain due to a deep cavity that invades the nerve of the tooth, it is necessary to carefully clean that internal canal and fill it with a sealing material. This treatment is known as endodontics and aims to eliminate pain and preserve the natural tooth.
discharge splints
It is increasingly common for patients to report pain in the temporomandibular joint, as well as pain in the head, ears, neck and even back. When these symptoms are associated with characteristic dental wear, we are faced with a case of "bruxism" or the unconscious habit of clenching and grinding the teeth, generally related to states of stress and anxiety.
The discharge splint is a rigid plate made of plastic that is adjusted to the patient's teeth, to prevent the teeth from rubbing against each other, avoiding tooth wear and joint suffering. It must be designed with great precision to avoid the treatment being uncomfortable.
Its daily use is recommended during sleeping hours, although at first we suggest using it for one or two hours during the day to facilitate adaptation until it becomes a nighttime habit.
Oral surgery
SIMPLE AND COMPLICATED DENTAL EXTRACTION
The procedure is carried out under local anesthesia and on certain occasions we can ask the patient to take an antibiotic before the intervention. For this reason, in our protocol we require a prior consultation to determine the patient's condition and make the diagnosis and appropriate treatment plan for each specific case.
Extraction or complex exodontia is one that requires the use of special technical means, in terms of the use of specific instruments and appropriate techniques for its rapid resolution.
PATHOLOGY OF THE THIRD MOLAR (WISDOM TEETH) OR “CORDAL”
Wisdom teeth in many cases tend to cause pathology, such as inflammation, pain, infection, difficulty opening the mouth, etc. Because it is the last tooth to erupt in the arch, it has very limited space at the end of the other molars and when it is time to erupt (usually between the ages of 18 and 25) it no longer has space. On many occasions it is usually inclined and damaging the second molar on its distal or posterior face. This lying position of the wisdom tooth is due to the fact that, during development, growth and mandibular advancement, it pulls the tooth germ forwards, giving rise to the molar develops in a position that prevents it from being correctly aligned in the arch like the rest of the molars.
The extraction of the included third molars is a surgical procedure that is performed under local anesthesia, in certain cases the patient must take an antibiotic and anti-inflammatory prior to the intervention. The postoperative period presents with mild to moderate inflammation, sometimes none, depending on the time spent in surgery and the patient's predisposition to inflammation.
JAW CYSTS
Jaw cysts are generally benign lesions that form inside the bone, they usually have a rounded shape with an epithelial capsule and liquid or semi-liquid content with epithelial cells and sometimes contain pus if infection coexists, they grow at the expense of gradually destroying the bone where They are located.
Most jaw cysts have a dental origin, they come from dental cells trapped in the bone that can become infected from a cavity that affects the pulp of the tooth.
ORAL INFECTIONS
Oral infections generally have their origin in a dental piece with caries or periodontitis. In this way, from a tooth with caries, a radicular remnant or a tooth with mobility and periodontal pathology, an infection can spread to the soft tissues of the oral cavity and, subsequently, to the neck and face. This infectious pathology that affects these soft tissues is known as "facial or cervicofacial cellulitis" of dental origin.
It is vitally important to make a correct diagnosis of the origin of an oral infection in order to establish the appropriate treatment as soon as possible.
ORAL SOFT TISSUE PATHOLOGY
Some patients have lesions on the lips, cheeks, tongue, or the rest of the oral mucosa. The origin can be infectious or due to the rubbing of elements of a prosthesis or a fractured tooth. These ulcerative lesions can become malignant, so it is very important to make an early diagnosis of the lesion to establish the appropriate treatment, whether medical or surgical.
PREPROSTHETIC SURGERY
As its name indicates, before placing a prosthesis, it is sometimes necessary to regularize the bone where it will support it. Some patients have bone irregularities or exostoses, as well as gum braces that prevent a good and comfortable fixation of their removable prosthesis. The intervention is very simple and consists of removing these bone growths or braces through a small surgery under local anesthesia.
Endodontics
Endodontics is a dental treatment that is performed on teeth that have an infection caused by the nerve of the tooth.
With the treatment it is possible to repair and save the affected teeth, eliminating the dental pulp (the tissue inside the tooth that contains nerves, blood vessels and connective tissue) to later clean and seal the inside of the tooth.
Pediatric Dentistry
En Riverside City Quesada we want your children to feel comfortable and have a positive experience from their first visit, losing their fear of visiting the dentist.
The most frequent dental treatments for children are dental cleanings, groove and fissure sealants, as well as fluoride applications to prevent cavities and harden developing tooth enamel.
On the other hand, we carry out other minimally invasive treatments to solve dental problems in children such as pulpotomies and pulpectomies, fillings or one of the most demanded among children, children's orthodontics. In addition, we adapt each of the treatments according to the needs of the child, from the first dentition to the age of 15.

Conscious sedation
Conscious sedation helps the patient to be relaxed and not experience pain during their dental treatment.
This type of sedation is very different from the general anesthesia that is applied in other medical procedures, since conscious sedation implies the temporary loss of touch in the area to be treated.
The patient can see and hear, is also able to hear and respond to everything the dentist tells them, but is in a state of relaxation and calm.
It is especially indicated in patients who suffer from odontophobia, that is, fear of the dentist. In this way, dental treatment can be performed more comfortably and effectively.
