Nursing manager of each case

The patients of the Breast Area have Nursing personnel available to manage each case, who coordinate the path of each patient throughout the diagnostic and therapeutic process, accompanying them at all times, helping them with the management of appointments for tests diagnoses, treatment, intervention and check-ups, and resolving your doubts to reduce the stress and anxiety associated with these cases.

3D digital mammography

One of the applications of technological innovation in this area is the availability of a 3D mammograph. It allows diagnosing hidden tumors using the tomosynthesis technique, which reconstructs the different planes of the breast millimeter by millimeter. The mammographer also has tomosynthesis-guided biopsy, a state-of-the-art technique for successfully performing biopsies in a very short time.

Conservative surgery and breast reconstruction

The Breast Unit studies and assesses each case to prioritize conservative surgery. In cases where this is not possible, the possibility of breast reconstruction is analyzed in the same surgical intervention in which the cancerous tissue is removed. The objective in both cases is to promote the physical and emotional recovery of the woman in the shortest possible time.

Micropigmentation of the areola-nipple complex in 3D

The Ribera Povisa team also offers the possibility of micropigmentation of the areola-nipple complex. It is a tattoo technique on the skin of the reconstructed breast that recreates the shape and color of the nipple-areola complex prior to removal for breast cancer. In addition, the team achieves a very real result, with a three-dimensional appearance.
