I am Julia Camps Herrero, a breast radiologist for more than 20 years and I currently hold the position of Corporate Head of the Breast Area in the Ribera Group hospitals since 2019, leading a transversal and innovative project that integrates the work of all professionals dedicated to breast pathology in five hospitals.

I studied at the Faculty of Medicine of Valencia and later I trained as a radiologist at the General Hospital of Alicante, complementing my training at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston for 6 months. At the end of the specialty, I started working as a general radiologist at the Verge Dels Lliris Hospital in Alcoi and later I moved to the Ribera de Alzira University Hospital from 1999 to 2019 where I subspecialized in abdominal radiology and breast radiology, performing the position of Chief Radiology Service from 2006 to May 2019.

Since 1999 I have dedicated myself to clinical breast research, integrating all diagnostic techniques in collaboration with all specialists in the Breast Area, with special interest in breast MRI, contrast-enhanced mammography and minimally invasive interventional techniques. (vacuum assisted biopsies). I am currently interested in the application of radiomics (advanced image analysis) to precision medicine.

I have been an invited speaker in Latin America and Europe in more than 350 presentations. I am the author of 21 original articles, 11 book chapters, and 75 posters and oral communications related to Breast. I have actively participated in numerous scientific committees: I have been the president of the Breast committee at the European Congress of Radiology in 2012, of the scientific committee at the Spanish Breast Congress in 2015, and I have been a member of various scientific committees in Spain. , Europe and Latin America during the last 15 years. I am currently the vice-president of the Spanish Society of Breast Imaging (SEDIM) and from 2018 to 2020, I was the president of the European Society of Breast Radiology (EUSOBI).

What inspires me: using diagnostic breast imaging techniques to help personalize treatment for each patient under the motto "less is more", that is, demonstrating that diagnostic and interventional techniques of breast radiology can help define which patients are whether or not they will benefit from treatments such as surgery, radiotherapy or chemotherapy.

I am Laia Bernet, a pathologist for more than 20 years. For some years now, I have been lucky enough to be able to dedicate myself specifically to breast pathology, which has allowed me to go deeper into the diagnosis, both from the morphological, genetic and molecular point of view to advance in the understanding of some of the alterations that underlie cancer and, consequently, improve the indications for new therapeutic opportunities.

I was a pioneer in Europe in the OSNA technique for the intraoperative diagnosis of the sentinel node, in the 90s. Since then, I have not stopped working in the area of the breast, incorporating new techniques and procedures and leading different research projects, some of them they financed by institutional or governmental scholarships.

All this has allowed me not only to publish in impact journals, direct doctoral theses, be part of the European group of experts in breast cancer (EBCWG), the editorial committee of some scientific journals and the Board of Directors of the Spanish Society of Senology. and Breast Pathology (SESPM) but also, in daily clinical work, being part of a great team with the best professionals.

Currently, I continue working in the area of breast pathology and advancing in precision pathology, essential both to avoid over-treatment and to offer new therapeutic opportunities in each phase of the disease.

I thank all patients for the opportunity to offer my work and effort.
